The Monmouth County Parks System has created a wonderful Environmental Center, off of Georgia Tavern Road, with plenty of hands on displays.
What a great way to start your children's environmental education.
There are power telescopes for adults to have a closeup look at the different environs the reservoir has created.
Check out how many birds and other scavengers come visit their bird feeding area.
Every spring, their multiple telescopes are focused on nesting birds from hawks to their proudest accomplishment- a Bald Eagle nest!

The boat ramp is open for the season March 1 through November 30. Seasonal and daily boat launch passes are available at the cost of $4.00 daily or $35.00 seasonal. Boating is a great way to explore this site, take advantage of the fishing opportunities, or simply relax. Boats with electric motors, sailboats, kayaks, and canoes (at least 8' in length) are permitted on the Reservoir. All persons boating on the Manasquan Reservoir shall wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved type I, II, III hybrid inflatable, or V personal floatation device in serviceable conditions. Visitors are invited to bring binoculars for up-close observation of the abundant wildlife that call the Reservoir home.

Tours are conducted on a 36-foot pontoon boat, which provides a stable platform and seats up to 30 people. Children 12 and under will be provided with life preservers, which must be worn. All others will be given the option of wearing a life preserver. Tours are offered on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $3.77 for adults and $1.89 for children 12 and under.
