Howell, NJ offers
diversity of styles of worship.
New residents to the area have a proverbial buffet of religious
institutions to
choose from.
Finding the right house of worship can be just a matter of looking through the
telephone directory to see what is available. However, sometimes
your search may be a little harder. The Howell Chamber has compiled
a list of religious institutions below to help you in your search
for the house of worship you feel most comfortable with. There are
many new religious institutions starting up in Howell and we may not
have all of the listings. If your house of worship is not listed
here, let us know your information and we will include it at no
charge on this page only.
In Howell, NJ, religious related activities are
much broader than youth religious school and services on the Sabbath.
Several local houses of worship have gymnasium facilities that host
organized basketball leagues and other athletic fellowship activities. Many
also provide daycare services which can be especially appealing to
new families that come to Howell, NJ. Howell also has a strong
religious youth foundation and several houses of worship in the area have
youth programs that focus activities, sermons, and teachings to
directly minister to a younger audience. Other houses of worship have youth
ministers and the best way to find out about those programs and
pastors is to contact the religious institution of your choice.
There also are programs and ministries specifically for older adults
and some houses of worship here have dedicated missionary programs for anyone
interested. Missionary programs don't always mean traveling to
underdeveloped countries or places where the gospel is not
necessarily taught, it can be visiting local hospital patients or
nursing homes or maybe shut-ins. Many houses of worship have become
involved in other local needs such as the Howell Food Pantry and the
Howell Senior Center. During recent disasters, our houses of worship
have been very active in helping out our fellow Americans.
There's something for every individual.
